Girls Basketball Sign-Up in the office until Friday, August 27th. Practice will begin on August 30th, 3:30 - 5:00pm. Parent Meeting will follow practice on August 30th at 5pm in the gym.

Good Afternoon, I am extremely excited and blessed to begin my journey as the Principal of Marshall Junior High School and welcoming students tomorrow to in-person learning for the 2021-22 school year. While all years face challenges, I know this staff will work to persevere at every step of the road for your students. I am excited to see how we work together as a community through these challenges and I want you to know how much it means to me that you are entrusting us with your students education. I am looking forward to a great year and getting to know you and your students. 1st Day Information -7:45 opening times for buildings and the high volume of students being dropped off, that drop-off lines will be slow. - All students will enter through the 7th Grade Student entrance, located next to the Junior High Main Office. -Dismissal time at MJHS is 11:30. Yesterday, Governor Pritzker issued an Executive Order for Illinois Schools that requires the wearing of masks indoors by all at schools regardless of vaccination status until further notice. This includes indoor sports as well. Outdoor school activities/sports have not been affected to this point. Requirements for mask wearing on school transportation were already in place. More detailed reopening plans that reflect these changes will be shared soon. Thanks as always for your patience and cooperation.

Reminder: Online Registration for the 2021-22 School Year is open. Information can be found on the Marshall Schools Website www.marshallk12.net . In-Person Registration at the buildings is scheduled for Wednesday, August 4, 8 am - 4 pm. Building Offices will be open daily beginning August 2nd if you have questions.

MJHS Baseball Parent/Player Meeting On Monday, August 2 at 7pm in the Marshall High School Cafeteria there will be a parent/player meeting for any incoming 7th or 8th grade student that is interested in participating in junior higher baseball for the 2021 season. Practice will begin then on Tuesday, August 3. Practice time is TBD.

MJHS Baseball Information Available for pickup at the Marshall Schools Unit Office (503 Pine Street) is an informational parent/player packet for any incoming 7th or 8th grade student interested in participating in the 2021 junior high baseball season. These parent/player packets contain information on the upcoming season, player physicals, sport fee, and other materials that must be turned in before participation. Practice begins the week of August 2. More information will be shared as we move closer to that date. Have a great summer!

UPDATE: MJHS Softball Meeting Due to a scheduling conflict the MJHS Softball Parent Meeting that was schedule for Monday, June 28 at 5:30pm will now be on Tuesday, June 29 at 5:30pm at the Marshall Softball Field. Again, this meeting is for any incoming 7th or 8th grade girl interested in playing junior high softball. Players are welcome to attend. If your daughter is interested in participating but you are unable to attend the meeting please email hsetzer@marshallk12.net.

The MHS Class of 2021 Graduation will be inside, Friday, May 28th, 7:00 p.m., in McNary Gym. Each Graduate will be issued 12 advanced tickets. Baccalaureate Update: Class of 2021 Baccalaureate is Sunday, May 23, 2:00 p.m., in the MHS McNary Gym. Participating seniors were issued tickets today at practice that can be utilized for floor seating. With the number of students participating, we will also be able to allow General Admission attendees (no ticket needed) for bleacher and other open seating.

Friday, May 7, Spring Band Concert, MHS McNary Gym 5:30 p.m. 6th Grade Band 6:00 p.m. MJHS Bands 6:30 p.m. MHS Bands Each participant is allowed 8 guests. Students may leave after their group performs. General Admission will also be allowed for those with proof of vaccination. Masks still mandatory for attendees. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m.
