South School will celebrate Start With Hello Week from September 21–25. Throughout the week, we will focus on helping students build connections, include others, and understand how something as simple as saying hello can make a big difference. North and South Elementary Schools will participate in fun dress up days for the week.

Reminder: South Elementary will have an early dismissal today (9/16/26) at 11:15.

The new bleachers at Bush Field are ready for the upcoming football season.

There are 3 aisles creating 4 sections of seating.

The North Section (furthest left in the picture) is for the MHS Band and Students.

The South Section (furthest to the right in the picture) is General Admission with a few reserved seats in the top row.

The 2 Middle Sections divided by the center aisle are Reserved Seating in Rows 5-10, and General Admission in Rows 1-4, with ADA Seating available in Row 1.

Reserved Seats have a Paw Print sticker on the front of the bench with the Initials of the Seat Purchaser on them. Seats in the Reserved Rows with a blank Paw Print sticker are available for purchase by contacting Jen Crumrin at the MHS Office 826-2395. Please do not sit in the purchased reserved seats (those marked with initials) if they are not yours.

Reserved Seat Purchasers can contact the MHS Office to confirm location of their seats. We will also have 2 ushers in the bleachers beginning an hour before game time with Reserved Seat maps to help find seats.

Registration for the 2026-27 School Year is coming soon.

Online registration will open Monday, July 27.

In-person registration will be Wednesday, August 5.

North and South Elementary, MJHS, and MHS Offices will open Monday, August 3rd.

What a delicious treat! Thanks to a local Marshall business, all of our South School students enjoyed snow cones on Wednesday. A big THANK YOU to them!

ACTIVITY DAY!
Thursday our students participated in a full day of activities! Tie-Dying T-shirts, Games, Snacks and so much more!

Congratulations to the 37 students who completed a full school year of the Rosie's Readers program. These students earned a certificate of completion as well as a pizza party with the principal, Mrs. Bagby. A big thank you to Rosie's Pizzeria for supporting South School students!

The South School and North School chorus concert scheduled for this evening (4/27) will be postponed to a future date due to weather concerns.

Reminder: South School will dismiss at 1:45 today (4/22/26) for School Improvement.

Reminder: Marshall Schools will will dismiss early today to begin Spring Break. Dismissal times are 1:45 at North and South Elementary and 2:00 at MJHS and MHS. Schools will not be in session on Thursday, Friday, or Monday, and will resume on Tuesday, April 7.

Reminder that Friday, March 13 is an early dismissal for school improvement. 11:15 dismissal at North and South. 11:30 dismissal at the HS and JH. Also a reminder that there is no school on Monday, March 16.

Appointments are now being taken for Preschool Screening for the 2026-2027 school year. These screenings will be in the areas of speech, language, concepts, and motor skills. Vision and hearing screenings will also be provided, free of charge. Please call the South School office at 217-826-5411 to schedule your FREE developmental screening for your two to five year old child.
